An Early Look at NBA Finals Prices

As SF Gate reported yesterday, demand for the 2015 NBA Finals is extremely high. The Cavs have never won a championship and the Warriors haven’t since 1975. That along with ticket resale restrictions used by both teams has caused this NBA Finals to be one of the most expensive ones StubHub has ever seen. Let’s take a look:

2015 NBA Finals

Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors Game 1: $1,534

Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors Game 2: $1,614

Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers Game 3: $1,568

Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers Game 4: $1,034

If Necessary Games:

Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors Game 5: $1,580

Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers Game 6: $2,278

Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors Game 7: $1,692

Though these averages are high, the lowest ticket bought for game one so far on StubHub was for $500. Also, expect the prices the drop to as we get closer to each game as sellers look to unload their tickets.
