StubHub’s ATL Tailgate – Free For All Ticket Buyers – By The Numbers
Published January 25, 2019
We are now nine days out from Super Sunday, and there’s good news – fans can look forward to attending this bucket list event at a more affordable price point. The price of admission (least expensive ticket available for purchase) for the Big Game on StubHub has dropped since we last reported trends on Wednesday, now hovering at $2,139 for seats in the Upper Corner at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
- Prices Are Trending More Affordable: In addition to the get-in price, the average ticket price of tickets sold continues to drop and has hit its lowest point this year at $5,253.
- Largest Selection of Seats Available: StubHub is proud to provide fans with the largest selection of Super Bowl LIII tickets, currently there are approximately 4,000 tickets available.
- International Demand Continues: Since Wednesday, we’ve seen continuous growth of tickets purchased by buyers outside of the U.S., moving the total number of international countries to 11. Mexico comes in after the U.S. as the 2nd-top purchasing country accounting for 5% of tickets sold with Canada right behind at 2%.
- Rams Demand Continues to Outpace Patriots: The number of tickets purchased by buyers from California grew 64% since Wednesday’s update, and now account for 14% of all tickets sold, 6% more than ticket purchases coming from Massachusetts.
“As the week has progressed, this game has become a more affordable bucket list event,” said Scott Jablonski, General Manager of the NFL Business for StubHub. “Earlier this year, StubHub saw similar trends for the College Football Championship game. It didn’t take long for fans, particularly those in the market where the game was played, to start to take advantage of the deal, which then drove greater demand, reduced ticket inventory and drove prices back up. The same thing could occur for this major event, so we encourage buyers to take advantage of these prices and the vast selection that StubHub provides.”
With these increasingly affordable prices comes a fantastic deal – StubHub is offering an exclusive fan tailgate to give ticket buyers the best Super Sunday experience in Atlanta, free with every game ticket purchased on StubHub. StubHub’s ATL Tailgate will have a dozen NFL legends on hand to throw the football with fans, a tailgate food spread that sports fans can only dream of and games to get competitive spirits flowing. StubHub’s ATL Tailgate is the place to be before kickoff on Feb. 3. What’s more, when fans purchase a ticket on StubHub, they also receive a 15% off discount on eBay that can be put toward getting decked out in some team gear.
