StubHub expands Apple Pay capabilities to mobile browsers on iOS

Feature rolling out in the U.S. this week

SAN FRANCISCO – July 31, 2019 – Beginning today, StubHub will make it even easier and more secure for fans to buy their tickets on the go with the roll out of Apple Pay as an accepted form of payment on mobile browser purchases made on iOS devices.

This expands Apple Pay’s footprint for StubHub users in the U.S. who can already use it in the StubHub app for iOS and on the Safari browser for Mac. Apple Pay is popular with fans who use the StubHub iOS app, with StubHub data showing that fans use Apple Pay in about 20% of purchases.

“We know that our fans value choice at every point in the purchase journey, and we’re constantly working to empower customers with more options,” said Jason Zhang, group product manager at StubHub. “By expanding the security and convenience of Apple Pay to mobile web browsers, we’re making it even easier for fans to be a part of the live experiences they love.”

StubHub puts fan security first, and with Apple Pay, all transactions are protected in multiple ways making it safer than using a credit or debit card. For more information on Apple Pay and its security measures, visit
