With Canada’s 150th birthday quickly approaching, there are a lot of reasons to celebrate. StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, is celebrating by taking a look at the top-10 selling Canadian music acts on its platform over the last decade. The list is broken down into the top-selling artists on a per-show basis.

The list features a mix of old and new, with classic Canadian icons such as Rush and Neil Young, and relative newcomers such as Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd. Nickelback slots in at #9 on the list, and despite some public scrutiny, this proves that Canadians are going to see these Rockstars for All the Right Reasons (couldn’t resist). With his highly successful Believe and Purpose world tours, number one on the list goes to the pride of Stratford, Ontario, Justin Bieber.

Music festivals continue to be a way for an increasing number of fans to see a multitude of acts between independent headlining tours. BottleRock, as a relatively newer festival, has been the fastest growing summer music festival over the past three years (demand has nearly tripled since 2015).  Keeping in line with the trending demand of legacy rock acts, two out of three of the top music festivals this summer are devoted to classic rock acts.

StubHub Named An International Ticketing Partner For Rock in Rio 2017

São Paulo, April 5, 2017 – StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, today announced that it will be an authorized international ticketing partner for the 18th edition of Rock in Rio. The lineup for Rock in Rio includes major acts such as Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Guns N’ Roses, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and several others, and will take place in Barra Olympic Park, Rio de Janeiro, on Sept. 15-17 and 21 -24.
