StubHub Becomes Title Sponsor for Cerezo Osaka vs. Sevilla FC in StubHub World Match 2017 in Japan

StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace and global partner of Cerezo Osaka of the JLeague, will be the title sponsor for the “StubHub World Match 2017,” an international friendly Match featuring Cerezo Osaka versus La Liga’s Sevilla FC of Spain on July 17 in Osaka. The exhibition game is part of this summer’s JLeague International Series.

The StubHub World Match 2017 will take place at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, and details including kick-off time and tickets will be announced in the coming days.

The La Liga team has a long history of winning, dating back 120 years, including five UEFA Cups (most recently in 2016) and five Spanish Cups.

The match marks the first time StubHub as a title sponsor for a JLeague exhibition match.

StubHub to be Official Jersey Sponsor and Pre-sale Partner of Kitchee SC vs. Tottenham Hotspur May 26 at Hong Kong Stadium

StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, will be the official match pre-sale ticket partner of the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre Challenge Cup in Hong Kong on May 26, featuring Kitchee SC of the Hong Kong Premier League against the English Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur. In addition to the pre-sale partnership, StubHub will also be Kitchee SC’s jersey sponsor for the match.

The match will be one of the most popular sports events in Hong Kong this year, with the following players expected on the roster; Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris. The match comes at the 20th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, where soccer is quickly growing in popularity across Asia.

The profits from the match will be donated in its entirety to the Kitchee Foundation for supporting the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre, contributing to the future development of Hong Kong football.

Announcement Marks StubHub’s Fifth Soccer Property

StubHub, the largest ticket marketplace in the U.S., has announced a new partnership with Minnesota United FC, in which it will be the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of the North American Soccer League club team and 2017/18 Major League Soccer expansion team.

As the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace for Minnesota United FC, StubHub will provide integrated ticket barcoding through its partnership with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement for the 2016 NASL season. StubHub will also receive sponsorship and marketing assets within the Minnesota United FC community, which includes more than 4,500 season ticket holders, a number that continues to grow.

The announcement marks StubHub’s fifth major soccer partnership since its inaugural MLS agreement with the LA Galaxy in 2013 and first with an NASL team. Since then, StubHub has partnered with other MLS clubs to provide official secondary ticket solutions to the Portland Timbers, Houston Dynamo and the Philadelphia Union.

 

The partnership with Minnesota United FC is effective immediately for the 2016 NASL season, which the team kicks off on April 2.
